Thank you for howling outside the bedroom door every time I try to sleep in, because your breakfast is late. Thank you for tripping me when I am getting my morning coffee, because you feel compelled to follow me every time I get up. Thank you for skilfully avoiding the nail clippers, then making puncture marks all over me with your smergling. Thank you for shedding all over the FURniture and my clothes, in my eyes, nose and mouth. Thank you for waiting to use your litter box until I have sat down to dinner every night. Seriously, every night! Thank you for chewing on the curtains to punish us when we are out of treats.
Thank you for hugs on demand, no kidding! Thank you for your prompt response to "come get a kiss". Thank you for being glad to see me when I return home from work and especially for napping with me when I am having a flare and when I get home from my Remicade infusions. Thank you for being glad when I need to stay in and rest, while my husband is out running the errands for us.
Thank you for keeping me company, for missing me and for keeping my lap warm. I do not know how other chronically ill folks cope without a cat, how other bloggers cope without a cat, how other readers cope without a cat or how other humans cope without a cat.
