Wow, what a weekend! Yesterday morning the Team NPF Walk NYC 2015 started at 7:30 a.m. in the gorgeous New York Botanical Garden. The weather was beautiful and we had a great turnout. Due to train schedules, it is always a long morning getting to the Bronx. Despite leaving my apartment in Jersey City at 5:45 a.m., I did not arrive in the Bronx until 8:00!
It was wonderful to see the familiar face of Brittany Ineson at the entrance to the Garden to direct us. Her psoriasis blog is called Seeing Pspots . We wound up being paired up for a fair amount that morning and had lots of fun.
This City Girl is grateful to her family and friends for helping her to raise over $1,000 for a cure for psoriatic disease, making her Number 9 in the top ten of individual fundraisers! Thanks, again, for that!
Brittany and I were assigned the job of Walk Marshal. We were whisked away on a golf cart and dropped off at different spots on the walk route, to direct walkers and keep them from getting lost in the Garden. We clapped and cheered them on. This is the perfect job for this Girl!
