Happy Monday! Today I start my third week back to work and am excited to report my foot is healing nicely. I am still wearing a surgical sandal (one week to go!). This week I start physical therapy in Dr. A's office. It will be relaxing to soak my foot and let the machine do all the work. I will have therapy twice a week for three weeks. After this, Dr. A will take more x-rays and I will be able to show you the extent of the deformities that led me to this surgery and the improvements after.
I look forward to getting back on my psoriatic arthritis medications and back into sneakers, the gym and my yoga practice! In the meantime, I am moving as much as I can, resting when my body needs to and continuing on my eliminatin diet.
Because of needing to re-start this diet, I am beginning Week 2, again. My gut feels better and I find I have more energy, already. Eight weeks is quite hard to commit to, but I have my eyes on the finish line. I find that preparation is key. If I do not have quinoa or rice already cooked and vegetables roasted, then lunches and dinners during the week do not happen.
I am happy it is stone fruit season and have enjoyed adding those to my breakfast in the morning. If you've finished an elimination diet, I would love to learn some of your favorite recipes for during your diet. Click the link to comment and share.
Until next week.
