Good morning! Can you believe it? YES! We actually have an official Awareness Day, apart from other invisible illnesses and apart from Psoriasis. Check out all the information on this special day & ways to increase awareness of it by clicking the photo below.
Feel free to print out the Support page, sign your name & post in your cubicle at work, or anywhere else. Share this badge on your social media channels. Share the truth about your Psoriatic Arthritis with anyone who asks. Have fun with this! We won't get another chance until next year, you know.
In addition to celebrating today, I am celebrating for another big reason. After suffering Sunday AND Monday with a chemo hangover, I woke up with energy today!!! I don't know what it is, but I never used to suffer much with my Methotrexate doses. You can read all about my typical response to this drug in this post.
I notice from this old photo I used to take five pills per week, but now I am up to eight, thanks to Prednsone weight gain. Lately, every other week I have a bad day. This past weekend is the first time I have had a two-day chemo hangover with my Methotrexate. I even had to stay home from work on Monday, because I could not sit up long enough to feed myself, much less commute into the city. My hope is that this means the drug is working for me, tearing me down to build me back up.
On a happier note, it is still not too late to vote me for WEGO Health Activist Awards Best in Show Blogger and Best in Show Facebook! Click the photo below, then click the Endorse button on the WEGO page to cast your vote. Remember to do it twice, once for Blogger and once for Facebook.
Until next week, I hope you enjoy #PsADay16! Get out there and vote, promote and be good to yourself.
